My writing journey started with a simple idea I shared with my best friend, Trinity. I decided to put that idea on paper, and before I knew it, one chapter turned into another. Trinity became my first reader, always asking for more chapters and encouraging me to keep going. Her excitement for the story made me believe that maybe I had created something worth sharing with more than just the two of us. She was the one who encouraged me to take the leap and publish Yes, Chef. What started as an idea between two friends became something I never imagined—my first published novel.
Trinity, I don’t think I could ever fully put into words how grateful I am for everything you’ve done for me throughout this journey. What started as a simple idea became Yes, Chef in large part because you believed in it—and in me—before I was even sure what it could become.
Thank you for the countless hours you’ve spent reading chapters, listening to my ideas, helping me work through scenes, answering all of my random questions, and putting up with every “Okay, but what if I did this?” along the way. Thank you for constantly asking for another chapter, because every time you did, it made me want to keep writing.
Most of all, thank you for being the person who encouraged me to turn something I was writing for fun into something I was brave enough to share with the world. You saw something in this story—and in me—that I might not have seen without you.
Yes, Chef may have my name on the cover, but there will always be a piece of you in these pages. Thank you for being my first reader, my sounding board, my cheerleader, and my friend through all of it.
I love you, and I’ll never forget how much you helped turn a little idea into one of my biggest dreams. ❤️
